Walmart Spring 2015 Box and Target Summer 2015 Boxes

I didn't get my Spring box in the beginning of the season and had to sign up again. So, this post is late and is being combined with the summer boxes from Target that came out a few weeks ago.

Disclaimer: I was not sent any of these products for free. I am not being paid for my opinions. Everything mentioned was purchased by me. Post does not contain any affiliate links.

Walmart Beauty Box

To learn more about how you can get your own beauty box from Walmart and how the subscription service works, go to https://beautybox.walmart.com/

To find out my thoughts about what I got in my Fall and Winter Walmart beauty boxes, please go to
http://theskyisthelimitsf.blogspot.com/2014/10/walmart-and-target-beauty-boxes.html and http://theskyisthelimitsf.blogspot.com/2014/12/walmart-winter-2014-beauty-box.html

I'm excited about my 3rd Walmart beauty box!

This card that comes inside lets you know what season the box is for.

Lady Gaga Fame
A perfume sample that actually doesn't smell bad, but I am not in the market for a new scent.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
This comes with 7 inside. I can never have too many facial wipes and I am still looking for my favorite!

Dove Go Fresh Revitalize Body Wash in Mandarin and Tiare Flower
These "deluxe" size body washes are good for travel or when you still need to get a full size body wash! I have used this and it smells nice and citrusy. It is a thick orange color and works well with a puff.

St. Ives Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub
Has the typical "green tea" scent. I use scrubs so this will be tested!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser with White Tea and Vitamin E
I am in need of a new face wash soon so I will try this. This product does have a scent but I'm interested to see how my skin reacts to this since it has vitamin E, which I've used before (mentioned here) .

Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream
This has a light scent, a slight tint that doesn't leave any color to my skin, but leaves a residue/ hand cream feeling on my palms.

I redeemed this for a free Degree Dry Spray in Shower Clean. Love the scent, but not the feeling it leaves on the skin...

Ken Paves You are Beautiful Smoothing Shampoo, Conditioner, and Thick Conditioning Mask
Three foil packets to try and test its claims.

Nivea in Shower Body Lotion
A foil packet with $1 coupon included.

Target Beauty and Father's Day Boxes
To see what I got in my last (Fall) beauty box, please go to http://theskyisthelimitsf.blogspot.com/2014/10/walmart-and-target-beauty-boxes.html

The beauty box was $7 and the Father's Day box was $5. Both boxes came with free shipping. I will show the beauty box first then the FD box.

A card with a list of the products included in the beauty box as well as a coupon.

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Color in Sail la Vie
I have a variety of blue polishes, but none in this exact shade. I love the color on its own, but not sure how I feel about it against my skin tone. This is an affordable drugstore brand and actually lasts for a good amount of time with a base and top coat.

Fekkai Professional Hair Care
This smells funny. Reminds me of hair removal creams... Good amount of product included in this sample though!

Olay Regenerist Luminous HydraSwirl Eye Cream
I am most excited about this product. I am still looking for an eye cream that will help my raccoon eyes and this product alone is over $20!

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in 875 Gladiolus

This red lipstick has a light scent to it.

Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads
These are good for travel.

The Father's Day Box

A card with a list of the products was included in the box as well as a coupon.

Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor
Will give this to my dad or brother.

Orabrush Tongue Cleaner
I have been wanting a tongue scrubber...

Axe Styling Messy Look Gel and Axe Styling Spiked Up Extra Hold Gel
Will give these away.

Dove Men + Care Oxygen Charge Shampoo
This smells good and will be used in my household.

Final Thoughts
Between the 3 boxes, I was more impressed and excited with Target's boxes. Now I am convinced to try and get every Target box that comes out because of the great deal you get for the price. I still plan to keep my Walmart subscription. Hopefully I get my summer box in time!

My Mini Perfume Collection

I recently got a perfume from my big sis as a graduation present and thought now was a perfect time to share my mini perfume collection! I plan to do at least 2 more collection posts, so follow me if you are interested ;)

Disclaimer: I was not sent any of these products. I am not being paid for my opinions. Everything mentioned was purchased by me except for Gucci Premiere and Gucci II which were given to me as gifts from my sister. Post does not contain any affiliate links.

I became obsessed with perfume during my sophomore year of college after I bought a Sephora Fragrance Sampler for Her (something like this) for myself. Needless to say, I bought 2 more different sets of these samplers over the years and this helped me try a wide range of scents without spending a ton of money to commit to an expensive bottle of perfume until I was sure what I liked.

Heads up, I love floral scents. I also have a crush on Gucci fragrances as you will be able to tell ;) 3 of the 5 perfumes below are 1 oz. and 2 of them are 1.6 oz. After using perfumes the past few years, I realized getting the 1.6 oz. are worth it simply because they last longer even after so much use, like my Gucci Guilty. At first, I thought the 1 oz. were better for me because I get bored of scents, but I realized I would rather pay a little more for more than 1 oz. to try it for longer.

I'll start in the order I got each perfume. The first 3 perfumes I chose from past Sephora Fragrance Sampler sets, but these should be available for purchase separately.

Marc Jacobs Oh Lola! Eau de Parfum

I like this floral perfume as a spring scent. According to Sephora, the notes for this scent are Raspberry, Vanilla, Peony, Pear, and Cyclaman. I don't plan on repurchasing Oh Lola because I have found better perfumes I want to try.

For reviews or to purchase this perfume from Sephora, you can go to

Gucci Flora Eau de Parfum

This is also a floral scent. I love using this during the winter and layering it for a more lasting power and warmer scent. The notes for this are Citrus Accord, Peony, Rose, Osmanthus Flower, Pink Pepper, and Sandalwood. I would definitely repurchase Gucci Flora!

For reviews or to purchase this perfume from Sephora, you can go to

 Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette

This is one of my favorite perfumes I own. I have received a few compliments when wearing this and I just love the smell. I would definitely repurchase this again! The notes for this are Mandarin, Pink Pepper, Peach, Lilac, Geranium, Amber, and Patchouli. There is an intense version of this scent but I feel like the original Guilty and Guilty Intense smell the same. Maybe the lasting power is different?

For reviews or to purchase this perfume from Sephora, you can go to

Gucci Premiere Eau de Parfum

I was obsessed with a mini of this scent for a while that my sister decided to buy this for me!
This scent is light and fresh. The notes for Gucci Premiere are Bergamot, Orange Blossom, White Flower, Musk, Leather, and Wood.

For reviews or to purchase this perfume from Sephora, you can go to

Gucci II Eau de Parfum

This is the most recent addition to my collection. This is also really expensive so thanks again to my sister for the generous gift ;) I haven't used it for long, but so far with one spray, the scent is strong enough for me. The notes for this are Mandarin, Bitter Orange, Blackcurrant, Violet, Blackberry, Jasmine, Heliotrope, and Cedarwood. FYI. The packaging for this bottle is obnoxious! All the extra glass, especially in the lid makes this bottle unnecessarily heavy. I might eventually ditch the lid.

Let me know in the comment below what (floral) perfumes you recommend I try!

BzzAgent, Pinch Me, & Sample Source First Impressions/ Mini Review

I have received some free products in the mail the past few weeks and wanted to share what these items are, my honest opinions about them (if I have tried them already) and where you too can receive items for free. Thank you to Bzz Agent, Pinch Me, and Sample Source for sending these items to me and allowing me to try them! By the way, I heard about these 3 sites from YouTube, which goes to show I spend too much time on YouTube, but it's not all bad :p

Disclaimer: I received all of these products for free from Bzz Agent, Pinch Me, and Sample Source in return for honest reviews. I am not being paid for my opinions.

My 1st campaign from Bzz Agent!!! I received a It's Here! card, razor/trimmer, and 6 coupons. To learn about how Bzz Agent works, please go to https://www.bzzagent.com/pg/GettingStarted
If you would like to join Bzz Agent, please click here.

Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle Razor

Although I was happy to finally receive my first free item from Bzz Agent, I am honestly not a fan of any razors in general. I have mentioned this before, but I prefer to use creams on my body (not my face) instead of razors. However, I do use razors if I receive them to review (and for free)! This razor/trimmer feels substantial, not like a cheap one-time use item. It is pretty expensive for what it is, ranging from $14-$19 depending on where you look. This was easy to use in the shower, it didn't slip and I surprisingly didn't get any cuts after using the razor end about 3-4 times. I haven't used the trimmer side since I never just trim my hair. I completely remove it if I'm going to bother getting rid of unwanted body hair. If you like using razors, you might want to give this product a try.                For more information about the Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle Razor, please go to http://www.schick.com/wproducts/schick-hydro-silk-trimstyle-razor

This is actually the second time I am getting free items/ samples from Pinch Me. The first time I got a pen and sample size body wash, but I forgot to mention them here :( To learn about how Pinch Me works, go to https://www.pinchme.com/how_it_works If you would like me to send you an invite, please leave your email address in the comments below and I will send an invite your way!

Playtex Sport Liners

Two liners and 2 tampons come inside this combo pack. I haven't used the liners yet, but when I do I will compare it to another brand of liners I use. I don't plan on using the tampons since I prefer liners/pads.

Method 4x Concentrated Laundry Detergent

This was just a peel and sniff sample with a $3 coupon on the back. I like the pink (Spring Garden) and orange (Ginger Mango) scents.

This is the 1st time I am receiving items from Sample Source. To learn about how Sample Source works and to join, please go to https://www.samplesource.com/ I haven't tried any of the items I received from SS.

2 coupons from Garnier and Colgate

Garnier Fructis Full and Plush & Sleek and Shine Brazilian Smooth sample packets

Colgate Optic White Platinum toothpaste

Truvia sweetener sample and coupon
Breathe Right 2 Nasal Strips

Nature's Path Organic Pumpkin Flax Granola

Graduated College? Now What?

Now What?
A prose poem by moi ;)

You’ve counted down the days until graduation on your planner. Now that it is here, you wonder if it’s all just a dream. You sit in a daze amongst other graduates, proudly wearing your black and orange gown.

Fast forward 7 hours later when all the exciting partying with family and friends comes to an end. Now what?

Do you extend the fun by taking a vacation to Brazil? You imagine all the colorful and breathtaking scenes and exotic wildlife you have come to love thanks to Rio. You might even see a rare blue macaw!

Do you continue searching for a job, like a predator hunting its prey? After all, you did just go through what felt like centuries of studying and completing assignments to be financially independent.

There is the option of going back to school as some have suggested. Scratch that! A minor earthquake in your head starts to form just at the thought of more sleepless nights.

You consider all your options as you get into your pajamas and head to the bathroom. As you brush and floss your teeth, you come to a temporary solution.

“I’ll worry about this in the morning!”

I did it. I graduated college Alhamdulillah (praise Allah)!!!! Four long years of college has finally come to an end. Obviously relaxing and taking care of yourself a bit more is necessary, but what should one do afterwards? If you are like me and currently looking for a job to put your college degree to use, here are a few tips on how to be productive in your job search/ post graduation. I hope this helps and if you have any other suggestions for post graduates, please leave them in the comments below!

Resume
If you haven't already, create a document with your contact info. and important information about your college education and achievements. Examples of resumes can be found online for an idea on the template or what to include in your resume. Once you have this all typed up and checked by a few people, print out a few copies and mail them out. Also, email them if that is an option since it can save you time and energy. While you wait for a response, you can do any of the tips below :)

Make a portfolio
I had to make a portfolio for my education major and I'm glad I actually put the time and energy into it. If you haven't already created one, I suggest you gather important information about yourself such as a resume, final transcript, scores/ certificates, letters/invitations, examples of your work depending on your major, etc. Anything college related and that will make you look good :) Put all these into page protectors in a binder and you have something all in one place to take to interviews to hopefully impress your future employer!

Advertise yourself
Whether it is word of mouth or creating flyers, make it known to as many people as possible who care to help you that you graduated college and are looking for employment. Since I am an elementary education major (and English writing), I could tutor students for the rest of the school year and summer. So, I created a flyer with my service and contact information that I will take to some schools and with permission ask if it can be put it up so parents and students can see it.

Learn/ sharpen your skills
If you know your job of interest requires certain skills, such as working with programs on the computer, learn as much as possible or sharpen your skills even further. You could also volunteer at a place that would provide you with opportunities to learn. For example, I could volunteer at a school to get more familiar with working well with children. Volunteering might be good idea to get a foot in the door to a job at that location!
