Influenster Sunshine Voxbox Reviews!

Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Spray Moisturizer

This was my first time trying a spray on lotion. I like to moisturize my entire body so I used this after showering on clean skin. The cap is the twistable kind that can lock which is good so accidental sprays can be avoided. When you spray the product, it is thin/watery and comes out white, but the color isn't an issue since you have to rub the product into the skin. It has the "typical" aloe vera smell that other products that claim to have this ingredient also have (hope that made sense). Just like this product claims, the lotion is absorbed quickly into the skin without any greasy or sticky feeling on the body. This type of spray on lotion is good for hard to reach areas like on your back. My only issue is that I feel like this product won't last long like a typical lotion because product does go elsewhere along with on the body. However, overall this is a great product that I recommend and would purchase again!

 

Infusium 23 Leave In Conditioner

This was my first time trying a leave in conditioner simply because regular conditioners are good enough on my hair. I used this after shampooing and conditioning and applied some product on wet hair after towel drying for a few minutes. This product has a light scent and smells nice, which a few family members have commented on. My hair doesn't get frizzy, but this product did make my hair feel softer that with just regular conditioner. I like that there are no sulfates in this product which I try to avoid for the most part in hair care products. Overall, a good product worth trying if you are into leave in hair treatments.

 

Dickinson's Cleansing Cloths

These are standard size wipes that are big enough for the entire face. I feel like the whole wipe isn't necessary unless you are removing makeup so these can be easily ripped in half. These have raised circles that might be for exfoliating or just to help in the cleaning process. I love that there are only 4 ingredients (the less the better)! These have a scent which I am guessing is the witch hazel. I haven't used these to remove makeup yet, but I do like to freshen up my oily skin with one of these wipes. The best part?! These don't burn my eyes! I have tried a bunch of face wipes from different brands (some are reviewed here) and my number one problem with wipes is that some burn my eyes. These don't!

I love how Influenster gives a card with the product names and details in each box. According to the prices listed as well, I got about $30 of products for free!!!

Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Spray Moisturizer

I am really excited to try this. I get lazy about putting lotion/moisturizer on my body after a shower so this quick product (easy for lazy people ;) should get the job done!

 

Infusium 23 Leave In Conditioner

I have never used a leave in conditioner so this will be a new experience. Hopefully it will wow me :)

Dickinson's Cleansing Cloths

I have so many packs of cleansing cloths/ makeup wipes to try and find my favorite. Love that this has 25 wet cloths and what looks like good ingredients.

Sinful Colors Nail Polish

I had a little accident so the name rubbed off, but I think I got the shade in Why Not. I did a swatch on my clear nail wheel of 1 coat. Don't have an exact color like this in my collection but will have to see how it looks against my skin tone.

Received my Dean's List VoxBox!

This is my 3rd voxbox from Influenster (all of them having been college themed and came out around the same time). In this post, I will just show what I got in my box. I received a total of 7 products in my box. The Playtex Sports Fresh Balance is not in the picture because I gave it away since I don't use tampons. However, I was impressed that I received almost $20 worth of items!

Airheads Bites

For religious reasons, I won't be trying these because they have gelatin (collagen extracted from the skin, bones, and connective tissues of animals) which could have came from pigs. Please watch this short video about pigs.

Cosmo 2012 Voxbox Product Reviews

I gave myself a month to try out the free products I got from Influenster for testing purposes. Hope this helps :)

First of all, the products in the Cosmo 2012 VoxBox included (according to the info. card that was inside):
1. FriXion by Pilot Pen ($4.50 for a 3 pack, $11.00 for 8 pack)
2. Forever Red Eau de Parfume Exclusively @ Bath and Body Works ($10.00 for .25 fl oz./ 7ml., $44.50 for full size)

I received a black and purple FriXion pen in my box. These were one of the most useful things in this box for me. I love that they are gel ink and erasable, so it is great for journaling without having to cross out all over the page :) Honestly, the pens are a little light, like the black. I compared it to another gel ink pen I got from Walgreens to show you all the difference (see picture below). I wish that another pen, like in blue ink, was included to make a pack of 3 for $4.50. Overall, these two pens aren't bad and I will get good use out of them. When I first smelled Forever Red, it reminded me of other Bath and Body Works fragrance mists that I have. Forever Red isn't an exact copy of other scents but to me, it smells similar to Midnight Pomegranate, Secret Wonderland, Dark Kiss, and Black Amethyst. What I really didn't like about Forever Red is the strong scent. I don't like strong scents, and this is definitely strong for me. For religious reasons, I don't eat/consume alcohol or products that contain or are made with alcohol. According to http://www.muslimconsumergroup.com/search_results.html Ghirardelli uses natural vanilla which is extracted with alcohol. So, I did not eat this.

 

Finally, the Venus razor and refill. This was the second useful product in the box for me. Even though I prefer using creams for painless hair removal, I tried this razor and liked that it was really moisturizing and made for a clean shave. The rubber grip on the handle was also helpful for control. The price of the razor wasn't mentioned on the card, but seeing it advertised elsewhere, the razor runs around $8-$10.
